How Do You Tell Which Direction Your Hair Growth Is In?

You’re supposed to apply hair removal wax in the direction the hair growth is in, and pull against the direction of hair growth. I want to know how you can determine what the hair growth direction is.

The direction of hair growth is the direction pointing from the root to the tip. Pull it opposite of that direction.
So, for example, if the hair was like this:
    root –> __________ <– tip
then you should pull off the wax to the left.
