Hair Growth Remedies

I’m worried about my hair. It’s falling out. My hair is a bit layered and the longest is down to my waist now. Should I have it cut much shorter to promote hair growth? What’s the best hot oil formula can I use regularly at home? Is it good to apply warm virgin coconut oil on my scalp or olive oil

Salon brand or something you can get at Wal*Mart; I just need something that will keep my hair healthy and allow for growth. My hair is thin, so also any good thickening shampoos would be fine.
