Hair Growth Remedies

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for about a year now and have barely made any progress.
I’ve heard that taking Biotin is good for hair growth but I’m always a little weary about taking pills.
Has any one tried Biotin with good results? Also, any other tips on faster hair growth?
